When Fat Quarter Shop issued the #charmpackchallenge (on Instagram) to make a quilt with #justacharmpack, I couldn't resist and knew immediately what I was going to make. There is something so fun about making a quilt with just a charm pack.
Charm packs roughly split between lights and darks work best for a quilt like this. It finishes at about 24" square and makes a quick table topper quilt or small wall hanging quilt.
The process to make this quilt is fairly straightforward.
Match squares up to make pairs.
Make HSTs (half-square triangles) with your pairs.
Cut and trim HSTs. I press seams open on a quilt top like this, never sure what HST is going where.
Layout and piece rows/quilt top.
I've never made a #justacharmpack quilt using a Fig Tree & Co fabric line; I thought maybe all the different prints would be too busy. But, oh my! it turned out so cute using Fresh Fig Favorites. Love it! I think it's perfect for late summer.
The large white floral print on solid is one of my favorites - so pretty!
I really enjoy seeing the different patterns within the pattern with a quilt like this.
Happy quilting : )
