Juniper Lakehouse Steps Runner

The greens from the fabric line Juniper by Kate & Birdie for Moda Fabrics are just perfect - the colors and the prints! I knew when I first saw them that I wanted to make a wintery quilted table runner with just these green fabrics.

Kate & Birdie does the best linen-like prints - this line has them in green and in red. I used it in this runner quilt as the accent center squares and the binding.

As usual, this needed to be a quick quilt project to finish so I used my Lakehouse Steps pattern. It doesn't get any easier than this quilt pattern. (You can use jelly roll strips or cut-your-own strips.)

With six blocks I made a nice long quilted table runner.
I really like making long runners;
they are so fun to quilt!

I think I could flip this quilted runner over and have a nice neutral table runner.

The straight-line quilting was done using a walking foot. Using the edge of the foot I can get about 1/2" line spacing. This runner is only 12" wide so even though it is 6' long the straight-line quilting went fairly quickly.

Can't forget a quilty roll pic : ) Long quilted table runners make the best quilty rolls : )
