Playing and sewing with Love Note by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics has been such a joy.
I cannot believe that I was on the fence in regards to liking this fabric line when it first released.
It makes me think of tulips, and I have no idea why, tulips and spring.
This table runner quilt was designed quickly and designed to be made quickly. I have a deadline project I must move on to making, but I wanted to make a quilted runner to coordinate with my previous project with Love Note, a wallhanging using A Charming Barn Quilt pattern.
Material requirements for this runner were minimal - a mini charm pack, a bit of background, a bit of border, and binding. Can't get any better than that!
While this table runner is a wider than I usually make them it is still the same length and will fit on the width of fabric (anyone out enjoy piecing backings? No? Me neither : ). I really wanted to feature this lovely daisy print from Love Note so wider it is with borders.
Felt the urge to do some freehand slightly wavy quilting to quilt up this table runner. This quilting is still done using the walking foot. It adds a bit of softness and movement to the quilt that I really enjoy.
Loveliest binding-border combination. So sweet!
This block - one of my favorites. The plus block is such a clean block and so attractive in its simplicity.
This table runner project was such a quick, easy quilt finish. (and a quick, easy quilt project is always fun in my book : )
Happy quilting, everyone!
