Totally smitten with the Magical Winterland fabric line from Riley Blake. It makes the perfect Christmas-winter quilt with its touches of vintage and whimsy.
Using a layer cake or 10" stacker, this Easily Done (quilt pattern in my shop at this link) quilt made up so quickly.
Here are a few of my favorite prints - the tiny check, the small botanical print, the churches.
With wool batting, the quilting really popped! The pantograph West Wind in Winter from My Creative Stitches turned out so so pretty on the top and backing! (the backing is a flannel sheet : )
Easily Done is such a fun quilt to make. It's one of my favorite patterns. And, there is enough leftover of the layer cake to make a sizable quilted runner. Two quilts from one layer cake - awesome! (Stay tuned - the runner is next to be quilted.)
Another look at the longarm quilting that was quilted using the APQS Millennium and Quilt Path.
The quilting texture is amazing!
Trying to capture crinkly quilty goodness here.
Oh! And what do we think of the white binding? I wasn't sure about it. None of my greens or blues would work with the top and back so white it is. I really like it!
Happy quilting, folks!
Anna : )
