Juniper Leftovers - another pretty little runner

This pretty little scrappy quilted table runner was inspired by this Avalon Leftovers pretty little runner.

Not quite ready to put away Juniper by Kate & Birdie for Moda Fabrics, I settled on this quick scrappy quilt project that I have wanted to remake for quite some time.

For this Juniper version of a very easy and quick pretty little tablerunner quilt I used leftover charm pack squares (from this Marian Barn Quilt wall hanging quilt) sliced in half and scraps of 2.5" strips (from this Lakehouse Steps table runner quilt).

It was a lot of fun making up a quick quilt project in a couple of short of afternoons.

Kept the quilting simple and free with some free-hand wavy walking foot quilting.
Sometimes it's fun and freeing to just do wavy quilting and not have to focus so much on keeping things straight and square for straight line walking foot quilting.

The wide border on this little quilted table runner keeps it feeling light and fresh, just what I wanted.

Sweet little quilt roll : )
Don't you just love this snow print from Juniper by Kate & Birdie?!?
She makes the best whimsical dot fabric prints. Love them every time!

{Juniper} Marian Barn Quilt

Fun sewing continues here with the gorgeous Juniper line by Katie & Birdie for Moda Fabrics.

This is a very Christmasy quilted wall hanging but oh! it still fits in around here with a fresh blanket of snow on the ground. I'm way ahead for Christmas 2021 : )

It is so cozy in the dining room right now with the winter sunshine streaming in.
I really love how this quilted wallhanging turned out.

This photo right here - love! With the sunshine, greenery, and quilting it really captures the feeling in this space - cozy, warm, and welcoming!

Wanted to change the quilting up a bit so I used the walking foot and did overall diagonal straight line quilting. I think the diagonal quilting really cozied up this wallhanging.
I'm always a bit nervous to do diagonal quilting as sometimes it skews the quilt then it doesn't hang straight. After a bit of trial and error I think I've figured out some things that help. This quilt hangs perfectly!  When diagonal quilting I need to remember to loosen tension and lengthen stitch length. These two adjustments have worked perfectly with the last two quilts that I have straight-line quilted on the diagonal.
