First HSTs

Working with a charm pack of Essence from Moda.  Getting set to make my first ever half square triangles (HST).

Am a little bit nervous. Not so much about the sewing part but about the cutting. Cutting is so, so final. Have them all marked. Am ready to stitch and cut. Hope I like how I have them all paired up. This is the beginning of a square fall table topper.

Hollyhock Quilts Giveaway

This must be the week for giveaways. There is another going on over at Hollyhock Quilts. Its a new blog and she is kicking things off with some awesome Moda precut giveaways. I would love to add some precuts to my stash especially for the holidays. Projects go so much quicker when you have some precuts to start things.

Thankful for

...healthy children.
...being able to be home with my children all day, every day.
...happy children who are thrilled that fall is here and soon there will be piles of leaves to play in.
...inquisitive children whose inquirying minds never stop.
...the opportunity to watch my children grow and learn from day to day.

God bless.

PS:
...early fall mornings with the sun casting its warming rays through the trees and glistening off the dew-drenched grass.  "Mama, look! Isn't it a beautiful view?"  Yes, indeed it is.

Merry Christmas!

Hope you all had a blessed and merry day. The weather here in central Wisconsin left a lot to be desired and kept us homebound, but I am grateful to have spent a lovely day with my husband, six children, and a couple of sisters. Is it just me or does Christmas Day pass by faster than any other day of the entire year?

God bless and Merry Christmas!
