Green Fields Zippity Zip Quilted Runner

My pictures do not do justice to how well this Green Fields version of my Zippity Zip quilt pattern turned out.

The greens and blues of the fabric line Green Fields by Lisa Audit for Wilmington Prints were such a joy to work with. Love the text and the botanical prints. Such a calm and cozy fabric line, perfect for a table runner quilt to take your home through all the seasons.

Batting of choice is not batting but a heavy flannel.

The medium size was perfect for the space for which this quilt was made.

Using my regular sewing machine, I quilted straight lines spaced at just under 1/2" the entire length of quilt. When I do quilting like this, I always loosen my thread tension a couple clicks and loosen the pressure foot pressure by several clicks. Making these adjustments helps the quilt stay square and not get distorted out of shape.

Long quilted table or bed runners make a great quilty roll - love!

The Zippity Zip quilt pattern is available in my shop. It is precut 5" squares/charm pack or scraps friendly.

Happy quilting, everyone : )

Vintage Just Strips Table Runner

A quilt shop had a Vintage fat quarter bundle on clearance sale, and I couldn't resist. There is just something about this fabric line from Sweetwater for Moda Fabrics that pulls me in every time I see it. I think its the colors and the prints - a blend of summer and patriotic.

Wanting to sew up a quick runner, I grabbed my Just Strips quilt pattern, cut a few strips, and voila! finished so quickly!

For quilting I used the Crosshatch edge-to-edge pantograph from My Creative Stitches. I need some practice working with this panto but love how it turned out.

Such a sweet little quilted tablerunner that added the perfect fresh touch of charm to our dining room table this summer.

Happy quilting, everyone : )

Abloom Charming Breezes Runner

Finished up a Charming Breezes quilted table runner earlier this summer with a charm pack of Abloom by Corey Yoder for Moda Fabrics.

This fabric line is so darling. I love everything about it - the colors, the prints. I might have gone overboard and have enough in stash for several more projects : )

Quilted this runner on Millie the APQS longarm with a new pantograph, Peeling Good from My Creative Stitches.  Love it! I sized it down a bit to make it more dense and it turned out perfectly!

Quilting thread of choice is
Superior Threads So Fine.

Here Charming Breezes is coordinating with a Shine Barn Quilt. Mmm. Mmm. So good!
Both patterns can be found in my shop here.

Happy quilting, everyone : )
