Before leaving for our trip to Lake Ada, I mocked the quilt pattern up in Old Glory by Lella Boutique but packed the charm pack of Independence Day instead so I had to wing it : )

I was thinking it was just a bit too blue, but I definitely think the red binding turned it around.

Here she is fresh off the longarm quilting frame. It might be a bit late in the season, but it feels good to finish up another seasonal quilt instead of packing it away unfinished until next year.

The Liberty edge-to-edge longarm quilting pantograph from Leisha at quiltingit.com is perfect for anything red, white and blue. This is the second time I've used it, and it did not disappoint.  

Stitched out like a dream and looks amazing!

The combination of swirls, dots, and stars makes me think of pinwheels in the wind, raindrops on the lake, and warm starry nights. Ah! summer!!

A couple of happy quilting happenstances - 

see that circle right there were the pinpoints meet right dab in the center of the quilt?!?!

and the star around that "God bless America"? : )

This is the 40" x 40" version of the Four Corners Barn Quilt pattern.

It also includes two other sizes -

15" x 15" and 90" x 90".
