An Easter Quilt - Love Note Charming Barn Quilt

Happy Easter!
Just in the nick of time I got this Love Note version of A Charming Barn Quilt finished to grace our wall on Easter Sunday, 2022.

This charming quilted wall hanging started with a simple charm pack of 5" squares and a bit of yardage from Moda Fabrics.

Some HST (half-square triangles) were made.
A cutting mishap happened.

Single-fold binding was prepped.
Love this stripe from Love Note, an adorable fabric line by Lella Boutique for Moda Fabrics.
The imperfect lines add a nice vintage touch.

Put it all together and what do you get? - a lovely quilt just in time for Easter.
I was starting to second guess my border choice. My thought in selecting the simple neutral print was not to distract from the prints within the quilt, but then I started to feel it was too simple/plain.
Now that it's finished and on the wall, I love it! I think the border helps it feel light and calm.

I wasn't sure about this line when I first received it. Thought maybe the pinks were too...pink. (I'm not a big pink fan.) But, no, they are just perfect with the green and teal and tan. And I especially like the more coral/peach pink.
This wallhanging quilt feels very full of spring without being pastel and is cheerful, light, and bright.

Was in a bit of hurry to finish so went with my basic straight-line quilting and still really love this quilting. It doesn't distract from the quilt pattern or the fabrics and color.

Shall we pause for a moment to appreciate this darling fabric selvage?

So glad I pushed to finish up this Love Note quilt that can also serve as a table topper quilt. It's the newest version of my pattern A Charming Barn Quilt, a quilted barn quilt, which can be found in my shop.

Happy quilting, everyone!

    1. Such a lovely plan. I am probably a bit biased : ) but I think it's pretty perfect for Easter.
