Avalon leftovers - a pretty little runner

What do you do with leftover charm squares that are too pretty to toss? Slice them in half and make a pretty little runner featuring my favorite Fig Tree blue from the fabric line Avalon for Moda Fabrics.

This was a quick, super fun project to finish - finished in a short afternoon.

Super fun wavy quilting.

Crisp, clean and pretty. Really like the binding and border fabric matching.

Love me a little quilt roll : )

Love, love, love how this skinny little runner turned out!

Joyful day, everyone!

    2. Do you have a tutorial on how you do your wavy quilting? It looks so forgiving and informal — I think I could do my own quilting if I someone could hold my hand through it!

  2. Such a pretty spring table runner! I do enjoy fun sewing like this and especially when I can use up favorite leftover fabric pieces. It's beautiful, Anna!

    1. Hi! I used charm pack square halves so rectangle size is 2.5" x 5". I think the border strips I cut at 3"-3.5", I'm not positive of an exact measurement. Would love to see yours if you make. Are you on Instagram? I'm freshdewdrops over there. Happy quilting : )

  7. Did you quilt the table runner on a long arm or just a regular machine

    1. Hi! This quilt is quilted on a regular machine with a washing foot. To do the wavy quilting, I just gently steer the quilt from side to a bit.
